Weekly Inspiration

Remember how on Wednesday I was getting all worked up about the summer and baring my pale legs to the world? Well, be careful what you wish for. I went out brave and bare-legged on Wednesday, and today went out in two pairs of leggings and two pairs of socks. Yep, last night we got about 7 inches of snow- just in time for my boyfriend and my friend to run a 5K race this morning!!
I've gone from florals to knitwear in the space of a couple of days. I am wrapped up today as we were outside this morning cheering them on, but now I feel horribly frumpy and completely out-of-season. If I'm honest, I'm so used to the weather here that more snow didn't really phase me, but I was getting excited for summer and dresses and wegdes. I love the irony of having bought three pairs of summer shoes and a summery dress this week and today being in UGG boots!
However, I will never let any experience go by without hopefully searching for a silver lining, and here's what I have so far:
1. More time to prepare legs for tights-free season
Moisturising etc- seeing as I've vowed to give up the fake tan!!
2. More time to relish in my wintery garments
I had a bit of a freak-out about how much I was going to miss fur gilets, military boots, scarves and chunky knits a few days ago.
3. More time to find inspiration for my summer style
And of course, that is what I'm here to do today!!

I often go through phases where I collect hundreds of inspiration photos, then I get busy and go weeks without getting any, so some of these photos are old and some are new. I'd love to get a regular Weekly Inspiration post going- I often find it hard to come up with ideas of things to write about on non-outfit post days. Do you have any ideas for what you'd like to see here, as well as outfit posts? Please let me know.
Anyway, here are some of my favourites!

The dress Kendi is wearing here really reminds me of my Flowers of Romance dress. I love the look of it with  a grey blazer and heels. And I love Courtney's take on colour-blocking here with her blue dress and red blazer. I love my red blazer, and I think this would look great with my blue topshop dress.

This is a really old remix of Elizabeth's (I remember it the first time around!) but I really want to try the way she folded a dress down to make it a skirt. I'd love to try this with my pilot white lace dress. I am also desperate to try Mel's belted gilet with my own vintage denim gilet!

As I said before, I love my red blazer and am always looking for new ways to wear it. I love how KittyCotten has paired it with nude-beige heels and neutral tones. And I love Jenna's pairing of a floral dress with white knee socks and a blazer- totally unexpected but really inspiring.

I am loving light colours and pastels for next season. I found this gorgeous look by Alva on LookBook and adore her mixing of white and pink with black brogues. And this look of Rebecca's is gorgeous and summery- I'd love to try it with my lace dress, denim jacket and red heels.

Yet another look by Elizabeth here, but I love how laid-back and casual this is, while still being cute. I love wearing denim shorts and tights but it hasn't really been the weather yet, and I love her pairing with a floral top. Chloe's look here is definitely right up my street- floral dress, lace top underneath and knee socks? Perfection.

So that's my style roundup! Fingers crossed the weather improves up here!!
Have a great weekend :]]
