(Little) Girl Next Door

White knee socks and black Mary Janes make me look about 5 years old. In fact, I bought these white socks as part of my Halloween costume to be Alice from Alice in Wonderland last year!

This morning I had the biggest of morning catastrophes- the broken hairdryer.I plugged it in, nothing. I tried the plug socket in the living room, nothing. I am not ashamed to admit that I am one of those girls who will not leave the house without my hair and makeup being done. Luckily, my housemates were up early so I could borrow Lauren's, but I then panicked about how I was going to cope. Fortunately, I had a class cancelled today and was meeting with my presentation group. While moaning about the hairdrier drama, a girl in my class offered to take me to Target. Jill, you are a lifesaver!!

This outfit went through several revision which I hope I have sufficiently captured through my photos. The original idea was the lace top under the black dress. Then I struggled to find a cardigan which worked, so I grabbed this red one just to get me through class, threw on my leopard coat and red scarf. When I got home and took off my coat, everything just came together. I am so obsessed with adding red to my outfits at the moment!! It really brightened up what would gave been a black and white outfit.
