Christmas Eve

Well, here we are, it's Christmas Eve. I can't believe it's Christmas already. With everything that's been going  on the last week, I don't feel ready at all. Tomorrow is going to be strange. My grandparents always spend Christmas with us, and my Nana is in a home now. It's going to be strange not having my Grandad here for Christmas. We're going to try to make the most of it, but it's going to be a bit of a somber day.

Well, I thought I'd take some photos in front of our tree anyway. I didn't help put it up- I haven't felt too festive- but I thought it would be nice as a background. I had to change my lens a few times to take these- I felt dead professional! They're a little hazy and over-exposed because the tree is right in front of the conservatory, but I kinda like the effect.

I absolutely love this outfit, and after 3 days at work, I've been so excited to wear it. I bought this adorable vintage dress from the lovely Coury of Fancy Treehouse. I have been crazy about tartan dresses lately (I actually picked up this week's Grazia and Little Mix were all dresses in tartan dresses on the cover!) and as soon as I saw this dress I had to have it. I was so glad it arrived in time. Oh and hey, curly hair. My hairdresser curled my hair on Tuesday and I just loved it, but I can't curl my hair with GHDs to save my life. So, this morning I asked my Mum if I could open my Babyliss Curling Wand a day early, and she did my hair for me this morning. The wand is pretty easy to use but I've not gotten the hang of it yet myself!

Have a lovely Christmas, everybody.

  1. I absolutely love how these photos turned out. And your hair looks absolutely gorgeous curled like this!!! The plaid dress is adorable and oh so festive. I seriously love plaid dress like this.
I know it's been a tough time, but enjoy spending time with your loved ones, that's the most important thing! I lost my grandma at Christmas time a few years back and it really helped having all my family around, and everyone trying to think of good memories!! Merry Christmas Love!

  2. Your hair looks wonderful! So sorry that your Christmas isn't as bright as other years, but you'll get through it. It's always worst the first few weeks, but I swear, it does get better. You'll make it through :)
