Layered Up

I can't decide if I like this outfit or not. It looked great in my head, but I'm not sure if there's too much going on. The shirt looked weird without the bow but then I wasn't sure if it was too much, and then my leather jacket didn't look right so I put my maroon cardigan on-- ahh!! I love the look of shirts under dresses, and this outfit is inspired in part by Jen of JenLovesKev here, and also by Coury of Fancy Treehouse who always has a little collar popping out under her dresses. This dress is a little bit too long on me too, which I think is one of the reasons I feel a little off today.

dress- Modcloth
mustard shirt- New Look
cardigan- Primark
boots- New Look

Okay, I wish I had more interesting things to say, but I spent my day in the library, yet again and am in desperate need of an early night! Tomorrow I am hitting the library early and then meeting up with one of my American teachers from last year who is teaching over here this year, and having dinner with my friend Steph. I'm really, really ready to go home now. I'm looking forward to home comforts and being with my family. Things aren't looking great with my Grandad so I really need to be home. Two more sleeps!

Have a lovely night guys!

  4. I think you look darling! I don't think the dress is too long at all. The only thing I don't like so much is the socks, they seem to cut you a little short. That maroon is lovely on you!

  6. I far prefer the outfit without the cardigan. But the dress and the shirt look great together, and I like the shirt's colour. The bow isn't too much either, it looks good. I'm sorry to hear things aren't going well for your grandad, my thoughts are with you!
