Outfit Favourites- December-January

Girl next door fashion is two years old at the end of December, so to celebrate I'll be looking back on my favourite outfits from the last year.

I am feeling completely and utterly drained and uninspired at the moment. I do have some outfit photos from Monday that I will get round to posting, but I'm getting really bored of my winter wardrobe. In the second week of December. I am really sick of the whole dress/skirt/shorts+tights+boots+cardigan/jumper combo. In the second week of December. So I thought this would be a good time to start looking back on my outfit favourites from December and January last year. I actually covered most of my December outfits when I did last year's round up, but there were a few more that I liked that I wore afterwards.
Looking back on these photos is a little bittersweet. Worse, is reading the posts. Erick and I got together in December last year and my posts are all full of the excitement of a new relationship. I was also so excited to get back to England for Christmas last year and in the throes of my year abroad. This December, however, I am stressed to the point of burn out and sacrificing sleep for essays. Ah well, let's see what I wore..

(remember when I used to have pink hair?!)
I was kinda obsessed with this dress for about 3 months last year. I did about 6 or 7 remixes with it. This was the first time I'd ever buttoned this cardigan and I love the red heels.

I think this was the first time ever I wore this lace dress on my blog. It has been worn a lot of times since! I really love this look. I forgot how much I used to love knee socks. I also love this super-soft grey blazer.

This is a very...chunky look and I don't think it's very flattering, but I love the mix of the white cardigan with the brown-y scarf and socks against the bright blue dress.

This is definitely not the most flattering outfit (I've lost 15lbs since then!!) but I do love all the layers of neutrals. Again, another wearing of my beloved dress!!

6th January
I swear I only seen to have worn two dresses in December and January! I love this fur gilet and will definitely be getting it out soon for an outfit. I love how much I played with winter florals last year.

(hey look, my hair isn't pink anymore!!)
This is one of my favourite lace-dress outfits. I love the tough military jacket against the girly lace, and the knee socks are just a perfect tie in between sexy and pretty. This is one of my favourite outfits ever on my blog- and I miss that beautiful snowy backdrop!!

Check back to see more outfits from earlier in the year!!

  1. It's always so fun to look back on past outfits, I find it inspirational and sometimes you see a piece you'd forgotten about. Love the lace and floral dress, they're perfect mixing pieces (obviously :))

  4. Great photos... although, I can't imagine flouncing around with bare thighs in winter haha, I'd freeze to death. Your hair being longer now makes you look so different, more mature and 'older' than these photos.
