To do: Look Fabulous

Yes, I am still alive. And smiling. Today my to-do list read "look fabulous." Unfortunately, this is never as easy to achieve as you think it will be. I've felt more fabulous, but after over a dozen outfit changes, I went for this dress and decided that cherry-print ankle socks were a good idea. The jury's still out on that. I've had a very busy few days but I'm finally feeling a lot better. I worked pretty much constantly Thursday, Friday and Saturday which kept me busy and gave me something to focus on. I work with some really lovely people, and while my job isn't what I want to do for the rest of my life, I do work hard and I do care. I do care if the pizza fridge is not filled with pizzas!! Yesterday, my Godmother got married and we had a lovely day at the wedding. I absolutely love weddings!! I wore a honeysuckle dress from Warehouse(I know, colour of the moment, daaahling. Okay, I totally bought it last year) and my beloved £12 Primark teal shoes. I had a really great day. There were lots of people there I hadn't seen for years and it was so nice to catch up. I naturally went wild on Instagram. Here's what I wore, but I might do a "Week in Photos" again later in the week.

Today I had an equally great day. I was just going to go to Stockport and try those mustard trousers on from Topshop (they looked awful btw. As did the red ones from Miss Selfridge), but Kayleigh offered to take me to the Trafford Centre. After several attempts to look fabulous I went for this outfit. We had a lovely day walking round (a LOT), eating mexican food and trying on clothes. I came home with this Zara trench and ordered these boots online. I tried on two pairs of coloured trousers but decided they really weren't for me!! I'm looking forward to building my A/W wardrobe though!! Then this evening I came home and wrote some articles and I've just finished Skyping with my wonderful BFF Michelle back in Minnesota. She's studying abroad in Paris next year and I cannot wait to see her!!

Today was expensive for another reason too- I bought my ticket for the IFB conference in London! I'm going with Sian of Rebel Angel and I can't wait to meet her. Are any of you guys going? I'm really looking forward to meeting lots of other blogger. But what the heck to wear?!

polka dot dress- boohoo
platforms- Blowfish
bag- c/o Matalan
I know I don't normally include bags in my outfits (mainly cause I'm not really a bag girl) but the lovely folks at Matalan sent me this gorgeous satchel so I had to include it!!

Have a lovely Monday!!
