I felt I had to write this list, because 2011 brought good and bad. The first half of the year, when I still lived in the States and had a wonderful boyfriend and group of friends, were some of the best of my life, but things kind of went downhill when I came home in June. It's good to see, and think about all the good things that happened this year, because it's been far too easy lately to concentrate on the bad.

2011 has definitely been a year of character building. Of learning who I am and who I want to be. It hasn't been the best year of my life, but I think it was an important year for my future. In 2012, I will be graduating from university and (hopefully!) getting a job in the real world. I will be writing my dissertations and finishing my degree. It's going to be a big, scary year for me, but I'm ready to start afresh.

Here's to 2012.

  3. Taking Back Sunday are one of my favourite bands too! I saw them twice in 2011 :)

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandad and your break up. But congratulations on doing so well academically. Good luck with your dissertation! This time last year, I was working on mine. It was really tough but I got a first so it was all worth it in the end.

I hope 2012 is great for you!
