You're the reason I love losing sleep.

This isn't really an outfit post. Well, I suppose there's an outfit in it, but not a very revolutionary one. I was wearing this outfit yesterday with my polka dot blouse and I stayed at the boyfriend's last night so I just grabbed this striped top for today.
I've been getting increasingly frustrated by good photography and wishing I could do it, so I've decided to spend some time a few days a week playing with it and learning about the different settings and getting more involved in photography. I have an hour tonight planned specifically for playing with my camera and reading my camera book. Anyway, these photos came out of being bored of taking pictures of my desk.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I've just been really busy and felt completely uninspired. I'm planning on choosing something "photograph worthy" to wear tomorrow to get back into the habit of updating every day. My timetable is completely different this semester and 8am starts really confuse me for the rest of the day. I've been pretty good and productive today so I'm planning a slightly more relaxing evening. I'm already in my pajamas!!

The Boy and I went to see Black Swan last night. Well after the initial drama of getting to the cinema and then me realising I'd left my purse at the Supermarket (where we stocked up on Sour Patch Kids and Diet Coke. Om nom nom!!) Fortunately, it had been handed in and there was another showing of Black Swan at another cinema. It was pretty scary when we arrived though- there was literally a couple of other cars there and we were completely alone in the cinema!! I think I had my eyes buried in him for most of the film!!

striped top- primark
shorts- forever 21
boots- barratts
cardigan- new look

I'm really quite happy with these pictures. I'm going to spend a lot of time practising self portraits and working out what I need to work on, but at least I'm trying!! I have a long way to go but I've made a start :]]
Hope you're having a lovely week so far :]]

  4. try working with the aperture/shutter speed to create more depth in your photos... if you are not already doing that, that is the next step. new poses don't always mean better photos.

  8. I'm really jealous of your camera! (And your photography skills - mine are so limited!) And even though it's a really basic outfit, I love it!
