French Riviera

God these photos were hard work. Prior to taking them my entire chest of drawers collapsed so I had to completely empty it- all my clothes from inside it and all the books from on top, to put it back together. I'd had this outfit in my head for a while but I was so flustered by the time I took them that they didn't turn out too well and then my housemate got home so I felt all awkward taking them in the apartment. And this definitely wasn't an outfit to wear outside.

I know, this isn't really the outfit to wear on a freezing cold day in Feburary in Duluth, Minnesota where there is about 6 inches of snow on the ground. But I never let the weather affect what I wear anyway and this outfit was bright and exciting and fun. But I think definitely more suited to the French Riviera than here. I hadn't remixed this dress for a while and if you're a regular reader you'll know it's one of my favourite to mix up. I love mixing red, white and blue- must be the British girl in me!!

dress- oasis
skirt- topshop
shoes- new look

Life is pretty sweet at the moment. I'm really happy with everything, I just wish I had a bit more time and a little bit more motivation at the moment. I'm keeping on top of everything this semester but I definitely need to maintain that so I can still keep my social life intact!! Boyfriend got back from Vegas in one piece, thankfully, and apparently didn't get up to much mischief!! It was great to see him after him being away all weekend.

Well I'd better get back to my exciting evening of homework. Not gonna lie, I put my pajamas on as soon as I got back from the gym so I have no intention of leaving the apartment for the rest of the evening!!

Have a great day!!

  2. that's funny, i've always thought of red white and blue as such an american combination, even though both countries have the same colours...
