Guest Post- Cee of Coco and Vera!

Bonjour, lovelies! I'm Cee from Coco and Vera. This month Charlotte and I have been paired up by The Guestpost Group. I was in Paris when I got the email letting me know my partner for the month of February, and I was thrilled- I adore Charlotte and really admire her ability to mix edgy and girly pieces to create a look that is entirely her own- but also a bit daunted. The Girl Next Door shares so much of herself with her readers, wheras my posts tended to be limited to a short paragraph; two at most.

Why? I'm not sure. Maybe because I don't think my life is as glamourous as my outfits and I don't want to distract from what my blog is really about: fashion. But these photos were taken on a relatively exciting day of my life, so I'll share a little bit of it with you.

These photos were taken in the park on the hill that leads up to Sacre-Coeur Basilica in Paris. My husband and I spent three weeks staying in an apartment on nearby rue de Clignancourt. We briefly lived in Paris a few years ago, and I had been waiting two years to go back. I love everything about Paris- the pristine architecture; the charming cafes and, of course, all of the shopping. But what I love about this park is that it is completely unlike Paris. The hill was once used as a Roman quarry, and the pathes have been carved out of the rock. Wild tomcats live in the trees and bushes, surviving on local snails (and, I suspect, half-eaten ice cream bars left behind by tourists.)

After taking these photos, we spent our day in Le Marais, one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Paris; wandering the narrow streets munching on delicious cream-filled pastries.

My husband and I came home to Vancouver a few days later. In Canada, my everyday life is much more normal. I work in finance, spend time with my friends and update my blog (almost) daily :)

  1. These pictures are AMAZING! I want to go there! No need to worry, I am not one of those tourist that would leave behind half eaten icecream bars!!
