Love, Lust and Links

I know it's a few days late- sorry!!

1. Christmas songs
Okay, I don't know how you kids do it in America, but back home Christmas means Wizard, Slade, Band Aid and, my personal favourite, Shakin' Stevens. Thank you, Christmas Song Channel on Youtube. Christmas songs just make me so festive!!

2. Arranging secret santa
I have my people, now I just have to get their gifts. I absolutely love buying people presents so I'm hoping I can get everyone the best possible present!!

3. My first article for Duluth Superior Magazine
I was approached by Duluth Superior Magazine a few weeks ago to be their new online fashion columnist and here I am!! I have a feeling I might have to make some decisions on my writing next year; it is getting pretty hard to keep on top of it all!!

4. The Salmon Salad I just made
Lettuce, black beans, homemade salsa (okay, not by me, but still!!) and Chipotle glazed salmon. Yum!!

5. This outfit:

6. Hunting for something to wear on Christmas day
At home, we have a really traditional Christmas. We get up, open presents and then go to church with my huge, Irish Catholic family. What I wear on Christmas day is always a big deal- it's usually something new that I bought especially for the occasion. I'm on the hunt now for something cute and sophisticated that doesn't look like I'm about to go clubbing.

7. This dress

8. My new laptop
So important is my new laptop, that today when I slipped and fell on the ice, my first thoughts were "shit, my laptop!!"

9. Being brave
I got up the guts to give a guy my number on Sunday. Now that is SO not me. But I loved the buzz of doing something I never thought I'd do. I definitely need to be more brave!!

10. This article
For making me a little bit homesick, but generally really happy.

11. The fact it is December tomorrow!!
22 days til I get my flight home! And when I pick up the box of things my mum sent me tomorrow I will have my advent calendar!!

12. The Clothes Horse Remixes
I love to see how Rebecca has worn the same piece in lots of different ways. So inspiring!!

13. Why your blog sucks
This really made me step back and think about how I can improve this blog. Great advice.

14. And how to become a famous blogger here

15. Her Catwalk
HerCatwalk not only awarded me Honourable Mention in their style contest, but we have something exciting coming up soon together. Watch this space :]]

16. November stats
Well, this month I have received almost double the number of views of October, and nearly four times the stats of September, so thank you so much!! I wouldn't be here without you all, so thank you so much for your constant support!!

17. Taking a photography class
I asked last week about whether I should take a photography class next semester and I've decided I will. Yay!! I think I should be okay sorting out my classes now even though I don't register for another week!!

18. Change
I am already really excited to dye my hair and grow it (I'm thinking of getting my pink dyed dark brown at Christmas and eventually get it bleached blonde when I get up the guts), and I'm also thinking of changing a few things round here too. Girl Next Door Fashion is a year old next month so I'm thinking of sorting out a new layout and a few new features :]]]

What are you loving and lusting over this week?
Also- I extended the deadline on my giveaway (mainly because I forgot about it last week with my laptop drama...) so it's now open until tomorrow night, Midnight GMT-6 :]]

time enough for drums.

Does this outfit remind anyone else of the gorgeous Annie? I think I was subconciously channelling her when I chose this outfit. Today I became one of those people who rips articles out of magazines in the gym. Bad Charlotte. But I did read a great inspiration piece on pussy-bow blouses which I think inspired this outfit.

I bought this little pinafore dress in my huge shopping spree at Mall of America. I planned to wear it with a jumper underneath (I bought two gorgeous little turtle-neck jumpers to go with it) but I've often seen Annie where a shirt like this underneath her dresses. I was going to go with black tights but I thought I might as well go the whole hog and wear bright tights and brogues- two things Annie rocks really well.

I think one of the reasons her blog is so popular is that she has such a distinctive look. I've written about how her style influences me before,  but I can't quite pinpoint what is so unique about hhttp://blonde-bedhead.blogspot.com/er style. I just know that there's certain outfits that I create that I think "that is so Annie!". It's funny how you can feel you really know someone's style even when you haven't even met them. I'd love to do a feature on outfits inspired by some of my favourite bloggers; Selective Potential, LuluLetty, Delightfully Tacky, Blonde Bedhead to name a few of my daily reads. I feel there are certain bloggers who have their own look that they manage to incorporate into every outfit without it feeling same-y or repetitive.

I'm often asked how I define my own style, which I find is a question I stumble over a lot. I used to always describe it as "girly with an edge." Do you think that is still the case? I think in some respects my style has become more girly over the past few months. I think I've definitely found my style becoming more trend-led since I started writing this blog, but at the same time I don't consciously choose "trendy" outfits How would you describe my style? I'd love to hear!!

I wasn't too sure at first about the yellow cardigan, but I was starting to get cold so I thought I'd snap a few pictures in it, and I actually quite like it. It's far too thin for how cold it's getting here though, but I was a little cocky about the fact that it was actually colder at home today than here in Duluth!!

dress- forever 21

cardigan- ebay
shoes- target

I have a stressful few weeks ahead of me now. I seem to have so many assignments to do and little bits of time consuming homework, as well as trying to spend as much time as I can with my friends before I leave. I'm excited to go home but I'm also sad about how much I'm going to miss my friends over here!! I'm not going to lie though- I've got the Christmas songs on!! I've decided I'm going to get into the mood to make these next few weeks easier!! I've decided that Shakin' Steven' Merry Christmas Everyone is my favourite christmas song, but followed by obviously Wizard's I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday and of course, Slade!! God I love this time of year!! Ooh Wonderful Christmastime just came on. That could also be a contender. Something about Christmas music gets me right in the mood- what makes you feel festive?

Oh, thank you to call of you who were concerned about my laptop!! I found a great deal on a Best Buy flier so Kait and I went straight there on the way home and I managed to get a really great laptop for what I have been told was a great price (I know nothing about computers!!) and thankfully, my hard drive was fine so I have all my music and photos and documents and a new shiny laptop!! Yay :]]

And finally, my University at home have okay-ed me doing the photography class next semester so I've sent the teacher an email to check that I can take it with absolutely zero photography skills, so fingers crossed!!

You still have two more days to enter my giveaway, so if you want a great gift card go enter now!!

10 Things I learnt from my first Thanksgiving

Sorry for the lack of updates. I knocked a drink over my laptop on Wednesday and it no longer works, so I'm hoping to get a new one this week. Hope you haven't missed me too much :]]

snicker "salad"

Thanksgiving has been fun. Okay, I knocked a drink over my laptop, squirted a chilli in my eye and accidentally split gravy granules all over my bag. But other than that, it's been pretty awesome. We obviously don't celebrate Thankgiving in the UK so this has been my first experience of the real American holiday. It's very different to anything we have at home, but it's been pretty awesome to experience it first-hand. Here is what I learnt from my first Thanksgiving.

1. It's kind of like Christmas, but without the presents
It's a day of decorating your house, food and family. To me, that says Christmas. I'm definitely much more excited about Christmas now- it's kinda like a preview.

2. Snicker salad is the furthest thing from salad I have ever seen
It is a bowl of Snickers bars, whipped cream and apple. And it's called salad. If that isn't American, I don't know what is.

3. Spending time with other people's family is pretty sweet
I'm an only child, so spending time with a family of 9 was quite an eye opening experience. I've never met a family so big before, but it's definitely a great experience. Very loud, very exciting and very sociable!!

4. But it does make you miss your family more
Being only a few weeks from home has made me more and more homesick. I am so ready to be home now. And it can be hard being with a close family and wishing you were with yours.

5. Sometimes you need a few days to calm down before you burn out
I was definitely getting towards burn out with my homework and writing and other things I had to go. A few days of learning that I can't relax has gotten me completely ready to throw myself into the last few weeks. I find it hard to do nothing, I'm awful at relaxing, but I'm sure it's something I needed.

6. It's kinda like I've seen in films
Lots of eating and then watching football with a food coma.

7. It's socially acceptable to mix sweet and savoury food
The afformentioned snicker salad is not a dessert, but goes with the turkey and stuffing. Amazing.

8. But the desserts are awesome
Pumpkin pie, cheesecake and lots of cookies. Nom.

9. Black Friday is terrifying
We went to Walmart at midnight but I kept my distance. It was insane. I have never seen so many people crowded round in one place. I can see now how people have been crushed to death in the rush.

10. I like holidays dedicated to eating.
Nom.

How was your thanksgiving? What did you learn?
I promise I'll update soon- I should be getting a new laptop in a couple of days :]]

And one last thing to be thankful for...

I entered a competition featured at Tieka's blog for hercatwalk.com and I was one of the honourable mentions!! You can also see the rest of the winners there :]]]

These are the photos I submitted:

I won a gift card with a choice of a few places to spend it. I chose Forever 21! I can't wait to get something new with the voucher :]]]
Also- I'm struggling to get into all my classes next semester so I'm thinking of maybe taking a photography class instead. What do you guys think?
I'm having a great Thanksgiving break so far- I'll tell you allll about it soon!!

20 Things I'm Thankful for This Thanksgiving- Part Two

So yesterday I wrote my list of the big things in life I'm thankful for, and today I'm writing a list of the little things that make me happy. There are way over 10 little things that I am thankful for, but these are ten little things that make me smile on a regular basis. I'm excited about Thanksgiving tomorrow- I'm going to write a big post on Friday about my first Thanksgiving!! I hope you have a great day tomorrow, those of you who are celebrating Thanksgiving!!

1. Makeup
God I look bloody awful in the morning. Props to all you girls who can go out confident in your beauty, but I am not one of you. I'd love to be a natural beauty, but I definitely improve dramatically with some makeup!!

2. Hair dye
You do not want to see me with my natural hair colour. Seriously. Thank god for bleach!!

3. Not having a stupid name
Thank you, parents. You had all the choices in the world in the early 90s. I could have been Rainbow, or Dusk, or Storm or something. I may have hated it as a child, but Charlotte isn't too bad. I doubt anyone would take me seriously if I was a Sequoia.

4. Online shopping
America, you are awesome, but you are lacking in certain areas. Namely Top Shop, New Look, River Island and Miss Selfridge to name a few. Aah the beauty of online shopping...

5. Tea
Do I even need to elaborate?

6. Contact lenses
Is there a greater invention ever? I'm short sighted, as in really short sighted. You'd never know that, would you? As much as I love my Miu Miu glasses I do not suit specs. They don't even make me look intelligent.

7. Glamour
British Glamour is the magazine of choice, but American will do at times. Fashion, celebrities, real life... what more does a girl need?

8. My OCD
My OCD and I have a love-hate relationship. I love it on those days where I have set up every hour of the day and what I plan to do and I complete the day feeling accomplished. I dislike it on the days when it forces me to get up to go the gym at 6.30am.

9. Books
I love the small pleasures in life, and one of them is to curl up with a cup of tea and a good book. I love to read something I've been waiting a long time to read and the satisfaction of finishing it.

10. Tomato Ketchup
I absolutely love ketchup. As in, I couldn't actually hope without it. I eat it with everything. Few foods are tomatoey enough for me, so ketchup makes everything taste, well, of ketchup. A wonderful, wonderful invention. Thanks, Mr. Heinz.

What silly little things are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

20 Things I'm Thankful for This Thanksgiving- Part One

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK, so I'm excited to have a new holiday to celebrate. From what I can gather, it's kinda like Christmas but without the presents. Sounds good :]] As far as I see it, I get a few days off school to hang out with Kait and her family and that sounds good to me!!
But I like the idea of a day to be thankful for everything in your life. Like most people I overlook both the big and little things in life. It's easy in today's fast-paced work to ignore the most important things and to take some time to reflect on the fantastic things in your life.
This list is a mix of the big thing in my life, like my friends and family, and the little things, like online shopping. I've decided to decide my list into 10 Big Things, and then I will write my 10 Little Things later this week :]]
It seems that I have a lot of things in my life to be thankful for!!

1. The opportunities I've had...
My dad had never left the UK (okay, he'd been to Ireland...) until he was eighteen. By the time I was eighteen I'd been to dozens of places across the world, and now, at only twenty years old, I'm living in another country across the world from home. I have the opportunity for an education. I have had the chance to study for a degree. I have had to opportunity to take classes that I find interesting and that I enjoy. I have been given the help of my teachers and the support of my parents to follow my dreams. And that is something worth being thankful for.

2. And the opportunities I've made for myself
I am a self-deprecating Brit- I am not one to blow my own trumpet, but I do work hard. I work hard in school to get good grades, and I work hard with my writing and my blog to gain opportunities that will hopefully help with my future. Writing this blog has opened dozens of doors for me and allowed me experiences I wouldn't have had otherwise. I am thankful for everything I have worked hard to achieve. It makes the hard work worth it.

3. Skype
So far, I think I'm doing pretty well being 4000 miles from home. But I could not have done it without Skype. Such a simple little invention, but so genius. I can call my parents and see them sitting in my living room and it's like I'm there. I can call my friends at home and speak to them as I would face to face. I can't imagine how anyone coped away from home before this amazing creation.

4. My family
I don't appreciate my family as much as I should. I am an only child from a huuuuge Irish Catholic family, which gives me the best of both worlds. I get the small, close family, but also the big extended family. My family are incredibly close and incredibly supportive. My parents have always encouraged me to work hard, and while I haven't always agreed with the way they've pushed me, I have them to thank for the person I am today. I've managed to remain as close to them now as when I was a little girl, but independent enough to move to another country and live my own life. They've supported me so much while I've been here. And I don't thank them enough for this. And good genes- thanks for those too!! I love my extended family to bits too. There's nothing quite like having a huge family. I love having so many cousins and aunties and uncles- we all get on like a house on fire and I've grown up with all my cousins. And then there's my mum's mum- possibly one of my favourite person in the world. She never fails to inspire me.

5. My amazing friends
I am truly blessed when it comes to my friends. From the girls at home I've been friends with since I was a teenager to my uni friends who never fail to make me laugh. I am so lucky with all my friends to find so many people who just truly get me. I am so lucky to have so many friends who I care about and who care about me. And my new friends here in America. I can't wait for the future of our friendship.

6. Photography
Bit of a daft one, perhaps, but I love that I can look over at my wall, at the hundreds of photographs and feel overwhelming happiness for all the memories I have. All the fantastic people in my life. And the physical documentation of my experiences.

7. My Health
Of course, I have been lucky. I have (touch wood) never been very ill, and I am lucky to still have so many of my extended family still in this world. I am thankful for the health of myself and my friends and family around me. I know as a family we are lucky.

8. The brightness of the future
I hope the future for me is as bright as I'd like it to be. I'm excited to see what it will bring, the expected and the unexpected. I've worked hard the past few years and I just hope it pays off. I hope to have the future I've been dreaming about.

9. The kindness of strangers
Sometimes it's the little things that really make a difference. Sometimes things done without intention. Today, I left my washing in the machine to clean while I went to class, and when I got back a girl had moved my washing into the drier, so when I arrived it was all dry. Sometimes it's just someone helping you out, or opening a door for you. But sometimes it can make your day. I hope to be a kind stranger to others.

10. Those little things I never appreciate
I'm thankful for the things that get me through the day. I'm thankful for the fact I can wake up smiling, that I don't really have anything to worry about (but I always find something to worry about!!). I'm thankful for my past and my present and what the future will bring. I'm thankful for the little things that make me smile. My next post will be more of a focus on those little things that brighten up my day and make everything easier and better.

Button N Thread Boutique

You may have noticed, but I absolutely love to shop online. I get it from my mum, I think, who would always open the Next catalogue and order dozen of things and then pick and choose the items she wanted when they arrived and then send the rest back. I've always thought of it as a great way to shop. Most of the time there's just more of a selection and there's no waiting in line to try things on or battling against the snow and the rain to get there in the first place. You can shop any time of day from anywhere!!

But I also love to find little indie boutiques online. There's nothing cooler than knowing you own something that is almost completely unique. Or at least, you know you're pretty unlikely to see anyone else wearing it in the street!! This is why I was so happy to find Button N Thread Boutique

The site is based in Australia and prides itself on being "Simple and Affordable". Sounds perfect to me, who likes to look stylish without breaking the bank

Naturally, I went straight for the dresses. My favourites are:

Barbie Bow Dress

Deep V Ruffle Dress

Round Back Long Sleeved Dress

Zara Long sleeved Dress

And in the skirts, I love the Checkered Black and White skirt- perfect with tights and boots for winter!!

The site is currently offering FREE SHIPPING to all Australia, New Zealand and Singapore customers and all members will enjoy FREE accessories, FREE gift wrapping and special offers on some great products.
This offer is available until 31th December 2010 to celebrate Christmas and their anniversary.

I hope you go check out the site, it has some gorgeous clothes for an even more gorgeous price. And those of you in Australia, Singapore and New Zealand? Well you have no excuse!!

18 Things I love About Winter

I have spent much of the last few weeks moaning about the winter. It's cold, it's grey and it's rainy. Half of my wardrobe has now been abanonded as I admit defeat in it every getting warmer here in Minnesota. My pretty dresses and lightweight jackets are packed away, not to be seen again until March.
But walking across campus today with the icicles dangling from the trees, wrapped up in my winter coat, I started to think about all the things I do like about winter. It's going to be a long, cold winter so I might as well remember the things that make me smile!!

1. Wrapping up
I love to get out my snuggly warm jumpers, leggings and boots at this time of year. There's something that makes me smile about chunky knits.

2. Gorgeous accessories
Bad hair day? Throw on a beanie. Plain black coat? Add a bright coloured scarf. I love watching the wintery episodes of Gossip Girl- those girls do cosy dressing better than anyone else!!

3. Boots!!
Yesterday I bought my snow boots to add to my ever-growing collection of winter shoes. I have boots in every colour and style, from my comfy grey uggs to my tall black leather boots. I love boots because not only are they warm, but they look classy too.

4. How beautiful snow looks
Okay, it's not all that fun when you're trudging to class in it, I agree, but from the inside when it's all fresh? It looks amazingly beautiful. Similarly...

5. Being outside when it snows
Snow makes me smile. End of.

6. The smell of the air
Please don't tell me this is just me? I just love the crisp smell in the air when the weather turns. It smells so festive and amazing.

7. Hot drinks on a cold day
A skinny latte or a hot apple cider, or of course, a freshly made brew never taste as good as when you've just come in from outside and your hands find sanctuary round the warm mug. Bliss.

8. No more body upkeep
Fake tan is the bane of my life over summer. Winter means pale is key and hey, you don't have to shave your legs as much!!

9. Festivities
I love the build up to Christmas almost as much as Christmas itself. Watching Christmas films, Christmas songs, opening up your advent calendar every morning, those houses with a million different lights... I am such a big kid when it comes to Christmas.

10. Christmas traditions
My Christmas has been virtually the same for the last 19 years and I wouldn't change it for the world. I can't wait to get off that plane and have a Christmas that is a blue-print of every other of my life. I am a great believer in tradition and I love it.

11. Fairy lights
Oooh, sparklies!!

12. Christmas shopping
I love to buy people presents, and I absolutely love to find the absolutely perfect gift for someone and seeing their faces when they open it.

13. Wintery food
Not just mince pies and Christmas dinner, but hot dinners for cold days. Mashed potato springs to mind. And porridge. Mmmm.

14. Chrismas Catch Ups
Christmas always means seeing my friends from home and having a good gossip, which I love. This year it means meeting up with my friends from uni too!!

15. Those long days between Christmas and New Year
I love making plans to do things over those few days. I hate to be bored so I fill these days with trips and family visits and of course, sale shopping!!

16. That new-again feeling of January
The start of a new semester, the start of a new year. I love the feeling that when the clock strikes midnight you can start all over again.

17. A new semester
New classes, some free time for a few weeks before all the papers start to come rolling in. I'm looking forward to that bit of a break from first semester finals to second semester midterms.

18. The fact that I'm coming home.
Have I mentioned that? :]]]

Love, Lust and Links

Wow, it feels like yesterday I wrote my last one of these!! Mainly links today because I've found some good ones this week. And I'm lazyyyy :]]]

1. How to read your google analytics
This post is fantastic for people like me who have no idea what their results on Google Analytics mean!!

2. Plaid Remix
A great post here by Rebecca of The Clothes Horse on how she remixed the same plaid dress. I found this really inspiring for wearing my clothes in new ways.

3. Red Lipstick

It just makes me feel sexy and sophisticated. Although probably not when I get it everywhere. I also just love this picture!! The minute I did it I was like, this has to be documented.

4. New Friends
I have met so many fantastic people the last couple of days and they need to know how awesome they are!! The last few days have been so much fun!!

5. How to dress for cold weather
Thank you SO much to Sally from Already Pretty for this post. She lives in Minnesota too so she definitely knows what she's talking about. This post is going to be my bible for the next few months!!

6. Only having two days of class this week
Yayyyy :]]] My classes on Wednesday have both been cancelled so I can go home with Kait on Tuesday night now :]]

7. AOL teaches us how to be happy
And who doesn't want to know that? Have a look here :]]]

8. Realising more things I forgot from this post
How could I forget free refills and separate bills in restaurants? And free salad and breadsticks at Olive Garden?

9. Is this the modern teenage girl?
I know it's the Mail and they love to cause drama, but seriously?

10. Insight into guys thanks to College Candy
Why guys do what they do.

11. A guide to shopping on Etsy
I've always wanted to shop on Etsy but didn't really understand it. This post explains everything you need to know!!

12. Amazingly stupid questions
Today I was asked "so, did you learn English before you came here? What language do they speak in England?"

13. The Christmas Parade
Okay, I would have enjoyed it more if I could have felt my toes, but it was festive!!

14. The fact that I don't have anything in my "Lust" category this week
I definitely cannot afford to keep shopping the way I do!! But I do want a trip to Savers and TJ Maxx for some bargains!!

15. My Chemical Romance
Okay, if you knew me aged 16 you will appreciate how excited I am about a) the new album (which I have pre-ordered on Amazon for tomorrow) and b) the possibility of going to see them for the fourth time with Laura in April!!

16. My parents moving my flight forward a day
I am so happy to be coming home on the 23rd instead of the 24th. I was not enjoying the thought of being grounchy and jetlagged on Christmas Eve.

17. Three new followers yesterday
Hi, new people!! I hope you're having fun around here!!

18. My Toy Story Plaster

We watched Toy Story 3 last night and Michelle was desperate to use one of her Toy Story plasters. I had a burn on my wrist from about a week about which was healing, but now I think it's going to heal much faster!!

19. Being excited about growing my hair
I just wish it would grow faster now!!

20. Four and a Half Weeks until I come home
And I am so ready for Christmas at home with my family. Just to get Thanksgiving, a million papers and finals out of the way!!

What are you loving this week?

Saturday, 20 November 2010

there, enough, I'm still in love with the false hope of us stabbed inside my chest.

Dear Photos Taken Outside,
Please stop being so good because I'm not sure my health can take it much longer. Maybe you could contact Photos Taken Inside and show them a few tricks, I'd really appreciate it.
Love, Charlotte xxx

You may notice a few specks on these photos. That is actual genuine snow. It's getting far too cold for me to handle here. I need thicker socks, warmer gloves and way, way more layers. I am just not used to this at all. After taking these photos my hands were so cold I had to run them under the hot tap and then they hurt so much I was almost crying from the cold. Even last night when we went to the parade I was wearing gloves, two pairs of socks, a vest top, a long sleeved top, a jumper, a scarf, a hat and my fur coat and we were still so cold we couldn't stay and wait for Santa!! It was fun though, I had such a good time :]] Then we went to Olive Garden when I nearly died of a carb-induced coma. Mmmm carbs.

As you can see, my new dress arrived. I really, really love it even though it probably wasn't the best purchase for November in Minnesota. It's not exactly warm and the neckline and fit makes it difficult to layer under it to much. I may have to be creative and layer over it lots. But there is still the bare chest issue. Oh well, I'm sure I'll wear it loads in Spring!! This cardigan isn't very warm either, but my Mum is sending me a thicker red cardigan this week- yay :]]

Oooh exciting things to report. First of all, Michelle, one of our lovely clothes swappers has written me a great response to my question of dressing for Thanksgiving when you're not American!! It was really helpful- thank you!! I have no idea what to wear for Thanksgiving. I want to dress up but I'm not sure if everyone else is so I'll have to check in with Kait and her Mum on this. Oooh I can't wait for Thanksgiving just to have a chill out for a few days!! I have an essay due in on Monday and then a proposal for my next Shakespeare paper due on Tuesday and then I have my journalism feature story to work on. Oh and all my fashion writing!! Good job I love to be busy, eh?

Secondly, we have another swap up!! I sent Elizabeth my stripey skirt (which I wore here) and she had styled it up fabulously on her blog!! I can't wait to see what else she comes up with!! This swap is so much fun. I'm definitely going to send a few more things out this week- I can't wait!!

Oh and in other exciting news, for me anyway, I'm going to grow my hair. I'm thinking Series 3 Jenny Humphrey. Kind of messy and long and a bit wavy, and, wait for it, I'm going to dye out my pink. I know, it's a big decision and it kinda makes me sad, but it's so easy to get used to having your hair a certain way and I for one hate change, but I've had my hair like this since I was 16 and I'm 20 now so it needs a change. I'm going to try to grow it until my birthday and probably get my pink bleached blonde around the time I go to New York. I reckon it'll be long enough by then. I might keep some black underneath, definitely in my fringe for a while. I'm excited. I want it to get growing now!!

Well I'm off to go work on my essay and then Lindsey is picking me up and we're going to go do homework at Michelle's work and have lots of lovely hot drinks!! I hope by this time tomorrow my Godfather essay is well on its way!!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't already!! There's still a few days still to enter :]]]

Have a lovely weekend!!
